Chapter 7 Translating the Layered Designs into Embroidery
Sample #1: I had to re-work the following design as on my first attempt I had used the original design straight from the source instead of using a design based upon it. The following is my own design based upon the source material. I think the penny dropped with this exercise!
Hi Edith, I too, wasnt exactly sure about the 'brief'for Chapter 7 - I looked through the large portfolio of work I've collected so far and took it as an opportunity to combine favourite shapes in different ways. I tend to sit on the floor surrounded by paper shapes, fabric, thread and generally make an enormous mess. I like the way you've documented your planning process and its encouraged me to be more methodical in setting out the steps.
