Resolved Stitch Sample in progress

The background is Aquabond with a grid of threads and yarns arranged diagonally, as well as snippets of fabric and threads for the centre of the shapes. Then I laid a layer of Giuliette soluble on top to keep all in place. At the moment it measures approx 8 x 8 inches.
I stitched a grid of free machining, single lines mostly to offer the softest effect, but still give some structure and support. Then I began hand stitching the edges and centres of the shapes.
I plan to add more stitching to some of the shapes as well as beading.
Also to work herringbone on the grid in some places while leaving other sections un-stitched, to create an open and lacy background.
Finally when all the stitching and beading is completed I shall dissolve the soluble fabric, pinning it to a board so that it dries in shape..
